An early morning study through the Westminster Confession of Faith
We meet on Friday mornings, starting promptly at 6.30am and finishing at 7.00am.
Why ‘Theology for Larks’?
“Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him for ever.”
(Westminster Shorter Catechism Q1)
Theology for Larks is a weekly half-hour reading and discussion group working through the Westminster Confession of Faith paragraph by paragraph.
It is designed especially for men considering future service as church officers (elders or deacons), but it is open to anyone in the church family keen to build a robust, systematic grasp of Reformed doctrine before the working day begins.
The aim is not only to consider and understand what the Bible teaches in a systematic way, but also to turn those thoughts into prayer and praise of God. And, hopefully, to have some fun along the way – hence, ‘Larks’, not just because it’s early!
